I think of you.

Power of gohyah (ゴーヤパワー)

We Japanese have worked on saving electricity everywhere

since a serious accident occurred at Fukushima nuclear plant.

Lighting is recuced,

the temperature of air conditioners is set higher,

and some escalators are stopped

at stations and commercial facilities.

We work on weekend

and have a rest on some weekdays

at some offices and factories.

It is because we have lower electricity consumption

on weekend than on weekdays.

We also have strived to save electricity

at each home.

We keep off the use of air conditioners.

It is very hard for us

as it is very hot and humid in summer in Japan.

However, we have to do it

taking care of our health

so as not to get heat injury.

We have an effort

not to leave a TV

and the light on at each rooms.

Some homemakers including me must be irritated

finding the lights of child rooms and bathrooms

leaving on.

Now, here,

I would like to introduce a special way

for saving electricity

which it is very popular in Japan now.

It is the way of having help from plants.

We grow creepers near the windows

and make blinds by green leaves.

It is called “ green curtains”.

The most popular creeper is a gohyah,

that is called a bitter melon in English.

Gohyah was a special product

of Okinawa prefecture and south east Japan.

However,

we can get it almost everywhere in summer in Japan

these days.

Though it is very bitter,

It has rich vitamin C

and have a power

to strengthen the function of our stomachs.

So, it is hot as healthy food in very hot summer.

Gohyah is also easy to grow.

It is resistant to virus disease

and to strong sunlight.

Furthermore,

the green color and shaking of the leaves by the wind

give us cool atmosphere.

They also relax us.

Like this,

gohyah has various power.

However,

I guess and believe

that the greatest power of gohyah

is to absorb our strong fear and anger

for radioactive contamination

and for frequent earthquakes.

Ganbare and Arigato, gohyah!!

Earthquake and tsunami in Japan

As you know,

huge earthquake and tsunami occurred

on March 11th in Japan.

More than thousands of people died

and lost houses in a matter of seconds.

Furthermore,

we are faced with a crisis of radioactive contamination

from nuclear power plant

which was damaged by earthquake and tsunami.

We couldn’t help relying on atomic nuclear power until now

as we have little natural resources such as oil and coal in Japan.

We need your help now.

Please send us your energy of love to Japan.

No thank you for worry and pity.

No thank you for every criticism.

Thank you very much for only your love and smile.

We noticed now

how nuclear power helps us by supplying much electricity.

However,

we always had a feeling of only fear for atomic nuclear power,

not appreciating it.

We considered it as our enemy.

Please send your love to Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant

and appreciate it for its great work until now.

I pulled one card from 78 cards

of Inner Child Cards by Isha and Mark.

I performed it four times

during one week before and after the earthquake.

Surprisingly, I pulled the same card every four time.

I believe

that the message of the card

is not only for me but also you all over the world.

Earthquake and tsunami in Japan_e0135892_152436.jpg

The card says, “ Settle your problems of many years.”

Two persons in the card appears to fight,

but they play fencing.

If we have a enemy around us,

we should notice he/she is not an enemy but a good friend

who enjoys sports with us.

Please send your enemy(friend) your great love,

and I believe

we Japanese receive more love and be healed much.

Thank you very much for your love and smile !!

I hope my message reaches people all over the world.

Kyoto and Ononokomachi

Kyoto is an old city in Japan.

There are many temples and important historic sites around Kyoto.

Many foreigners visit there every year.

Many Japanese high school students also visit there as a school trip.

In addition,

Kyoto is famous for its beautiful cherry blossoms in spring

and red leaves in autumn.

I went to Kyoto one week ago

and visited some sightseeing places.

Today,

I will introduce Zuishinin temple and Ononokomachi.

Zuishinin temple is a place

remembered in connection with Ononokomachi

who is a very famous Japanese poet in the Heian era.

Furthermore, she is said to be a woman of matchless beauty.

Though the three most beautiful women in the world

is said to be Cleopatra, Yang Guifei and Helene,

Ononokomache takes place of Helene in Japan.

Ononokomachi is a mysterious woman.

No one knows her background well.

However,

she left many wonderful tankas (Japanese poem) about love.

They have attracted many Japanese since old days.

It is interesting that

there are many legends of Ononokomachi

and places remembered in connection with her

not only in Kyoto but also around Japan.

Before entering Zuishinin temple,

I intended to imagine how beauty she was,

walking the hallway in the temple.

However, my dream broke into pieces in the entrance.

Why?

When I paid admission fee at the entrance,

a clerk gave me one post card.

He said, “This is a gift for you. “

I approximated my face to the card and looked at it.

OH, MY GOD!

Kyoto and Ononokomachi_e0135892_21435153.jpg

It was a picture of the figure of Ononokomachi

who became very old woman!

I said to the clerk irresistibly,

“Even a woman of matchless beauty became old.”

He didn’t deny it.

Yellow and red leaves in the garden were really beautiful.

A little moist rain enhanced the beautiful color more and more.

Kyoto and Ononokomachi_e0135892_21453366.jpg

After walking along the long hallway,

I reached the real figure of old Ononokomachi.

It was enshrined in the center of the temple.

I kept sitting in front of it for a while.

Then, I felt like catching her whisper to me.

“Give up the lust for youth.

Give up the fear for aging.

Just enjoy your present life.”

One more legend of Ononokomachi has appeared here.

Climbing Mt.Fuji and meditation

I cliembed Mt. Fuji with my family last week

and succeeded to reach the summit at last !

It was my second challenge to climb Mt.Fuji.

I could not go up to the summit at the first trial last summer

because of the lack of time. (See here.)

So we started to climb it at five in the morning,

two hours earlier than before.

The weather condition was perfect!

Not strong sunshine in the early morning,

moderate amounts of clouds which provide shade,

cool comfortable fog rising from the lower mountain occasionally.

They led me to the summit with my husband's encouragement.

The view from Mt.Fuji was really beautiful!

Climbing Mt.Fuji and meditation (富士登山と瞑想)_e0135892_13393059.jpg

By the way,

I had an valuable experience during climbing.

Just after I started to climb Mt.Fuji,

one small woman appeared at the upper right hand in my head.

She wore white chothes.

She was sitting cross-legged in the air

and meditating with her eyes closed.

She was always with me during climbing.

Even when I was crying, " I’m terribly tired! ",

even when my heart was beating strongly

and my breath was very rough,

and even when I was twisting my face with a strong pain in my legs,

she was just meditating.

Even when I wanted to be encouraged by her,

she never said anything and just kept silent.

Furthermore,

Even when I was very excited just after reaching the summit,

and even when I was admired with the beautiful grand view,

she kept meditating.

I wondered , “Who on earth is she? “

Thanks to her,

my various emotions shaking strongly,

not only anxiety and pain but also big joy and excitement

settled down soon

and I felt peaceful.

Though it is uncertain,

I wanted to believe

that she is an another me called higher self.

I had ever tried to meditate several times in my house,

but I had not understood how meditation is yet.

However, I felt like learning it

through this experience of climbing Mt.Fuji.

I believe

it must be a special gift for me from the goddess of Mt.Fuji.

Thank you, Mt. Fuji !

My another blog is here. It is written in Japanese.

I had a beautiful dream this morning.

When I looked up at the sky, I found beautiful aurora

which emitted mysterious light.

I was moved to it very much

though I was confused with the aurora in Tokyo(maybe).

As soon as I thought I wanted to tell someone about it,

a next-door neighbor appeared.

I said to her,

“Look at that! It’s aurora ! “

She told me calmly.

“I know it.

I read a comic recently.

It showed me about it.”

I don’t understand the meaning of the latter part of my dream at all

but aurora itself was very beautiful.

The shape and color was changing from second to second.

After I got up,

I found the headline in the front page of the newspaper,

“ Abnormal weather all over the world.”

The article reported the serious appearance in some countries

such as Russia, South America and China.

However,

If aurora can be seen in Tokyo,

it will move everyone

even if it is abnormal weather.

By the way,

I got up very early this morning and took a walk with my dog.

I took a picture of the early morning in Tokyo accidentally.

After I came back home,

I began to write this diary.

When I checked the spelling of "aurora",

I learned that the godess of early morning was called Aurora(EOS)

from the dictionary.

Wow!! Synchronicity occurred!

Don't you think this picture is as beautiful as aurora?

Aurora (オーロラ)_e0135892_753413.jpg
